After the initial enquiry, we invite you to put a £50 Save the Date deposit down, please note this is non refundable as it confirms your date. This £50 will be taken off your quote which will be given after a consultation and the design of your cake is confirmed. Save the date is a great way how to book your cake with us, especially in advance.
Save the Date deposits are a fantastic way to confirm us as your wedding cake supplier, you may still not know what design you want, which is fine! A consultation is the next step, these happen within the year of your wedding date. For those booking in advance, which is highly recommended, save the date deposit allows you to opportunity to book us in advance.
This can be paid via BACs or over the phone, this option will be given in the email from your initial enquiry. At this point you can ask to see our Terms and Conditions, save the date deposits are non refundable.
Taster boxesTaster boxes are available for anyone who wants to try our cake before putting down a Save the Date. We believe a cake should both taste amazing and look amazing, that’s why we offer this service to evoke trust and any excuse for eating cake, right?! See our online shop shop
Wahoo, it’s within a year of your wedding date! Let’s meet up.
Booking in for your cake consultation, just pop us a email with any dates that suits you. We always recommend a consultation within the year of your wedding. This allows you the time to have other elements of your day that may influence your cake design, flowers, colours, dress material etc.
Our cake studio is based at Jervaulx Abbey Tearooms, which is our families Tearooms. We opened the Tearooms in 1994, mum Carol started us on the baking path.
What to bring on a consultation?
We have lots of display cakes to look at up close, really get to see the level of details we put into each and every cake we produce. With multiple portfolios, organised into helpful sections, you can see our previous work.
Once you have enjoyed your consultation with us, we will send over a quote via email. Clearly outlining all the details we discussed, with a total balance and any additional information required.
All booked in, now it’s the count down to your big day!
After your consultation and confirmation email, by confirming with us you are agreeing to our terms and conditions.
If you have any questions during this time you can always pop us a email, but hopefully all you questions have been answered and it’s really just a waiting game until the month before your wedding day. This is when we require the full amount paid.
What if I want to add something?
If you change your mind and want to add some favours for example, just pop us a email and we can add these to your order, please allow us notice of any changes, ideally before your balance is due.
Wow, it’s your big day soon! We are busy baking and preparing your cake.
During the week of your wedding, we will be contacting your venue to confirm our logistics and also providing them with a full list of ingredients and allergens. We believe this level of service is vital, bestowing trust that your guests can ask any allergen advice without worrying.
We hope you enjoy these last few exciting days leading up to your wedding day.
It’s all over but the memories go on…
Is there any cake left? If so, you can portion it up and wrap it up and freeze it, get some out every so often, yum!
